The Springfield DDA and the UGA Extension are excited to announce our first Springfield Market. This market will be a mixture of produce, processed goods and crafts vendors. Join us each Tuesday in June under the Cleveland Street oak trees from 3-7pm to support our local farmers and craftsman. Food Trucks are invited and will vary each week. Vendors for the Springfield Market will be “juried” in (pre-selected) by the Vendor Review Committee focusing on: product quality, the Springfield Market mission, Market mix, and prior Springfield Market vendor history. Duplicate products may be denied. Priority will be given to those farmers, producers, and artisans whose products are 100% locally grown or produced, display any unusual or unique characteristics, and/or offer product variety to the Market.
Since a wide product mix is desired, then Market will seek to offer products from the following categories: produce, cut flowers and plants; prepared and value-added goods; 10% crafts/artisan-type goods. Product mix may be adjusted based on seasonal-growing fluctuations and other factors.
